Users staking ETH can receive an equivalent amount of GTETH assets and enjoy instant redemption and multi-currency staking options. Gate News bot reported that according to the Gate announcement on September 18, 2025: Gate will comprehensively upgrade the staking tokenization system, planning to exchange ETH2 tokens at a 1:1 ratio and rename them to GTETH. The upgrade is scheduled for September 18, 2025, from 15:30 to 18:00 UTC+8, and is expected to take 2.5 hours to complete. During the upgrade period, spot trading pairs involving ETH2, bot trading, dollar-cost averaging, and on-chain earning activities will be suspended. The unified account lending and collateral borrowing services using ETH2 as margin will also be temporarily taken down. After the upgrade is complete, ETH2 in all business modules will be renamed to GTETH, and the ETH2 pledged in existing lending orders will be converted to GTETH at a ratio of 1:1. This initiative aims to enhance the liquidity of pledged assets, and the opening time for GTETH's subsequent functions is to be determined.
