Prayer to the guardian angel
O holy guardian angel,
that God, by an effect of His goodness towards me,
has taken charge of my conduct,
you who assist me in my needs,
who console me in my sorrows,
who support me in my discouragements,
and who constantly obtain new favors for me,
thank you,
and I beseech you, kind protector,
to continue helping me,
to defend myself against all my enemies,
to keep away from me the occasions of sin,
to make me docile
to listen to your inspirations
and faithful to follow them,
to protect me especially at the hour of death,
and not to leave me
that you did not lead me
to the abode of eternal rest.
