Recently, I added a few new books from Qidian Platinum and new Platinum authors. I just finished reading Rolling's "Desperate Black Night" and suddenly realized that "Master of the Mysterious" has been out since 2018.
In recent years, the age of male protagonists in novels has generally shifted from teenagers and high school students to wage slaves and middle-aged individuals. The character image has transformed from the previously ambitious and overly confident types to a more cautious and prudent demeanor (most protagonists in novels with high monthly ticket rankings are characterized by being cautious and pragmatic). The worldview setting has generally changed from the normal ascension and map upgrade to a world of madness where humans are consumed, fighting against the bizarre and the insane, in a stifling atmosphere. Such changes are likely inseparable from the changes in today's economic and social environment. The future is indeed looking bright!
