Have you ever encountered someone with whom you feel something is off when you talk to them, but you can't quite pinpoint what exactly it is? These five behaviors can help you quickly and accurately determine if you are being manipulated. First, he always tries to make you doubt yourself. For example, even though you clearly remember what he said, he insists that you misremembered and that you are overthinking it. Second, he is calm and methodical, pretending to care about you while gradually reshaping your beliefs, making you start to doubt everything you have seen and heard. Third, once you reject his narrative, he suddenly turns hostile, ignores you, making you subconsciously feel that you shouldn't have rejected him. Fourth, he never lets go during an argument, even if you've already indicated that you don't want to discuss it anymore. He continues to argue until you break down. Fifth, he always says that others are deceiving you. Only he is sincere with you. Ironically, this is the cruelest lie of all. If you identify with two or more of these behaviors, don't doubt it: you are being manipulated.
