Sommers worked for 10 years at the consulting firm of SEC Chairman Paul Atkins, and it is reported that the two are friends. Hauptman is the 13th chairman of the National Credit Union Administration and previously served as a senior vice president at investment bank Jefferies, responsible for U.S. Treasury and futures trading.
