Chinese people have always judged heroes by their successes and failures. If they succeed, they are seen as visionary and eloquent; if they fail, they are considered glib and overly ambitious. Yet, heroes in the world are as numerous as carp crossing a river, and even the most outstanding among them find it difficult to stand out.
