Matador Technologies has just closed a funding round of $10.5 million through the issuance of convertible bonds. The goal is ambitious: to accumulate 1,000 BTC by 2026 and reach 6,000 BTC in 2027.
At the current pace, this means adding hundreds of bitcoins annually. With BTC hovering around $100k, we would be talking about reserves valued in the tens of millions. The strategy is reminiscent of the movement by MicroStrategy and other corporates that are heavily betting on Bitcoin as a store of value.
