Sony Bank is set to issue a stablecoin? It may launch in the United States in 2026.

[Block Rhythm] has reported that Sony Bank is going big this time. They plan to launch a dollar-pegged stablecoin product in the U.S. market as early as the 2026 fiscal year.

What's even more interesting is the application scenarios - Sony is preparing to directly integrate this thing into its own gaming and anime ecosystem. In the future, when buying game items or subscribing to anime content, you might be able to settle using their stablecoin.

Traditional large enterprises entering the Web3 payment space indeed have something going for them. After all, Sony's scale in the entertainment content field is significant, and if it can truly be implemented successfully, it might provide a considerable boost to the practical application scenarios of stablecoins.

Sony's move is indeed fierce; the gaming ecosystem itself is a natural payment scenario, and stablecoins can thrive here. Hurry up and get it done; it's much more reliable than those air projects. 2026 is still far away, let's wait and see. With established big players entering the scene, it feels like Web3 is finally becoming a reality. If this wave succeeds, how can other gaming companies not follow suit?

Wait, Sony is making a stablecoin? Directly using coins for in-game purchases? If this really happens, I will be impressed.

Is it true that Sony is also getting into stablecoins? The gaming industry is going to get lively now. --- Wait, using stablecoins for game item settlements? That logic seems a bit off. --- If Sony really makes stablecoins work, will the other big companies be able to sleep at night? --- To put it bluntly, it's just a new trick to play people for suckers. --- 2026... by then, stablecoins will probably be overused, and latecomers will have no advantage. --- But I have to admit, the big companies' tactic of exchanging scenarios for traffic is indeed brilliant. --- I just want to know if it will really work, or if it's just another gimmick.

Sony is really going to launch a stablecoin, now the game coins have a serious military backing. --- Wait, can I use stablecoins for skin purchases as well? Then my USDT will be out of a job. --- It won't launch until 2026, this timeline seems a bit conservative, feels like another PPT project. --- To be honest, Sony's move is tough, directly locking the payment scenarios within its own ecosystem, smart. --- Stablecoins being integrated into the game ecosystem by big companies, now that's true breakout.
