Don't remind me again today

A rumor exploded in the community on Monday night - it said that Powell would announce his resignation at an emergency meeting? Is this matter reliable or not?

Let's start with the conclusion: it currently seems more like market noise. The Federal Reserve's official website shows that Powell has a speaking engagement at the Hoover Institution at 8 PM that evening, and there is no announcement of any emergency meeting. Additionally, his term as chairman does not end until May 2026, and his board member status extends until January 2028, with legal term protection. He has also publicly stated multiple times that he intends to serve his full term.

But then again, this kind of rumor is not the first time it has appeared. Since Trump's return to the White House, there has been no respite in market speculation about the direction of monetary policy. White House economic advisor Hassett recently expressed a willingness to accept the nomination for Federal Reserve Chair, is this sending some kind of signal? Combined with the capital inflow after Thanksgiving and the pressure from year-end institutional assessments, the wait-and-see sentiment is indeed rising.

From a trading perspective, December is traditionally a month prone to fluctuations. Historical data shows that after a decline in November, December often opens lower. Coupled with the tightening of liquidity at the end of the year and the fermentation of policy uncertainty, risk assets like BTC and ETH are more susceptible to emotional influences.

Real resignation? Policy shifts may accelerate, possibly providing short-term benefits to risk assets but with long-term uncertainties. False news? After the market stabilizes, it will still follow its original path. Regardless of the situation, this week's volatility is unlikely to be small, so it's advisable to manage your positions well and avoid getting overly excited.

It's the same trap again; I have to go through it every time to remember the lesson.

It's the same old trick again, every time they say there's an emergency meeting, the result is just a signal for the market to Be Played for Suckers.

It's that trap again; I have to wait for the official website to confirm before I can feel at ease. Just listening to rumors has already played people for suckers.

It's this trap again. Every time Trump makes a move, rumors start spreading. Powell has already said he will serve his full term, so why are there still people believing such rumors?

nah this powell drama is just typical december noise... back in my mining days we'd see way crazier FUD around year-end liquidity squeezes. network congestion spikes, people panic sell, rinse repeat. tbh the real story here is TPS bottleneck when volatility hits—eth gas fees gonna make everyone regret their positions anyway lol

Is it this trap again? Every time they say Powell is going to resign, but what happens? It's still the same thing - just market noise, don't get played for suckers.
