[Chain News] There is another big move in the digital asset field - the Gleec platform has just announced the acquisition of the entire Komodo ecosystem for $23.5 million. This transaction is not simple, as Komodo is one of the pioneers in the encryption world that has been playing with atomic swaps and cross-chain technology.
What does this acquisition package include? The Komodo brand, the entire technology stack, the token infrastructure, and even the core development team have been taken along. For Gleec, this is equivalent to directly acquiring a mature system that is already providing technical support to its own DEX. More importantly, they can quickly integrate this system with their own encryption debit card, virtual IBAN accounts, and fiat deposit and withdrawal channels, which opens up significant possibilities.
Interestingly, Gleec also plans to use Komodo's technology to offer white-label services specifically for institutional clients who want cross-chain capabilities but do not want to deal with custodial cross-chain bridges. This B2B approach sounds quite pragmatic.
Currently, the KMD token is still operating normally, but whether it will be integrated into the GLEEC token or develop independently in the future is still under observation according to the official statement. The entire technology stack is planned to be completed by early 2026. With this move, the licensed platform is merging with the veteran technology team, marking another implementation of traditional financial thinking in the crypto space.

Wow, Komodo, such an old-school technology solution, was acquired for just 23.5 million? It feels like Gleec hit the jackpot with this one, that set of atomic swap technology is quite valuable now.

Wow, 23.5 million directly packages an entire ecosystem, Gleec's move is really fierce.
Oh my, now the cross-chain capability is fully loaded, and it can also connect fiat channels? The imagination space is indeed incredible.
Komodo, this old project, has finally found its home. By the way, will the white label services become the next rise point?
If this acquisition can be integrated well, institutional clients will probably flock in.
But at the price of 23.5 million, will Komodo's team regret it...
The core team is also packaged and taken away, Gleec is directly copying and pasting successful experiences.
Is atomic swapping, this old black technology, finally going to take the stage?

25.3 million swallowed Komodo in one go, this deal must be worth it.

The acquisition of an ecosystem for 23.5 million USD is quite aggressive, directly swallowing Komodo's entire suite.
The combination of cross-chain veterans with debit cards and fiat channels is indeed imaginative... just don't know if it can really materialize in the end.
The white label services are quite clever, always able to find those unwilling to build bridges themselves.
Komodo fans seem okay, feeling a bit like they've been incorporated.
Whether this deal is worth it will depend on how Gleec operates it in the future; no matter how good the technology is, if it's not used, it's just decoration.
By the way, such large acquisitions are becoming increasingly frequent... when will our project be recognized too?
Gleec invested $23.5 million for the full acquisition of the Komodo ecosystem.
