Hats Finance announces the cessation of operations, with both the front-end and back-end expected to stop services on December 31.

According to news from CoinWorld, Hats Finance officially announced the final termination of its hosted operations for white hat hackers and auditors under the proactive bounty protocol. It is expected that all hosted front-end and back-end services will go offline on December 31, 2025. After careful consideration, the team decided not to maintain a centralized user interface and server operations due to sustainability issues. During this process, the long-term demand for HATS Token failed to meet expectations, and the smart contracts security budget did not adapt to the development of Decentralized Finance (DeFi). Meanwhile, the rapid advancement of AI security tools and the maturation of reusable smart contract building modules reduced the ongoing demand for protocols like Hats. The front-end and back-end (user interface and server) hosted by Hats Finance are expected to cease services on December 31, 2025. Most functionalities relying on this hosted tech stack will be gradually phased out. The Hats protocol is still deployed on-chain and managed by DAO. The core contract will continue to operate according to its code. A front-end IPFS version has been provided, and as long as this version is running (e.g., through funding lock providers or community nodes), it can be accessed via public gateways. As payments to current funding lock providers (e.g., Pinata) will cease, the official cannot guarantee its continued availability or performance. Users with deposits who wish to withdraw using the hosted user interface are advised to initiate withdrawal requests by December 17, 2025. If this window is missed, requests can be re-initiated or users can interact directly with the contract. Although the core contract will still run on-chain and be managed by DAO, users should be aware of the relevant logic and network conditions.
