Robotics has been stuck in command mode for years. You tell the machine what to do. It does it. End of story.
But what if that's changing?
There's this project called OpenMind, and they're rethinking the whole thing. Instead of robots just taking orders, they're building machines that actually work alongside humans. Think cooperation, not submission.
We're talking about systems that can figure out goals on their own, predict what's coming next, and pick up new skills without being programmed line by line. It's less about control, more about collaboration.
The shift? Robots that reason. Robots that adapt. Robots that might actually understand context instead of blindly following scripts.
Still early days, but the direction is wild.

To be honest, if this thing could really reason and learn autonomously, it wouldn't be a robot anymore—it would be some kind of new species... Kind of feels like something out of a sci-fi movie.

ngl this openmind stuff sounds nice on paper but... autonomous reasoning robots? that's giving 2022 vibes. remember what happened last time we got too confident about systems managing themselves? yeah. not tryna be that guy but watch your exposure here

To be honest, if this OpenMind can really be developed, then the rules of the game will change. Bots thinking about this and that, isn't that scary?

Ngl, this is exactly how the future should look, Bots learning to think for themselves is more impressive than anything.

Hmm, this OpenMind sounds interesting, it's finally not that kind of wooden Bots.

Cooperation > I like this idea of control, but can it really be realized?
---
Another PPT revolution, let's see how long it can last
---
reasoning robots sound great, but I worry it’s just hype
---
This is the future of Bots, much better than being remotely controlled all the time
---
Can openMind turn things around? It feels like they’re just bragging
---
Collaboration instead of commands... sounds like liberating Bots
---
Sounds good, but what about practical applications? We still need to look at the data.
