#数字货币市场回调 $BTC Cutting positions is for survival; stubbornly holding on may result in total loss. Timely stop loss is not shameful; keeping the green mountains means there is a chance for a comeback. Here’s a painful truth – during every market turning point, your first reaction is most likely wrong, especially in extreme moments when the market is either crazy or crashing. The most critical saying in the crypto world is, "This time is definitely different." Making money relies on cognitive level, while losing money is all due to emotions getting carried away.

The first trading day of the new year gave us a harsh lesson, no one expected the market to crash this hard. On Monday, Bitcoin plummeted directly from above 90000, hitting a low of 83786 before catching its breath. Ethereum followed its big brother all the way down, hitting a low of 2718. Fortunately, we timely switched to short in the afternoon, which helped to stop some losses.

Looking at the current market, after a series of small positive rebounds on the daily chart, it came to an abrupt stop, followed by the initiation of a continuous bearish pattern. Today, it also closed with a long upper shadow bearish candle, indicating clear continuation. The daily line has already broken below the middle track, and the overall direction still favors the bears. Now looking at the 4-hour level, the bullish and bearish candles are very entangled; every time there's a rise, there's a pullback, and every decline is followed by a rebound. The back-and-forth tug-of-war between bulls and bears is evident, and although the volatility isn't exaggerated, the bearish strength is noticeably stronger. Therefore, the morning strategy should mainly focus on shorting.

Bitcoin trading reference: place short orders around 87500, target 84500.
Ethereum operation reference: enter a short position around 2850, target at 2700

Here we go again. It took losing five figures for me to truly understand what "stop loss" means.

Cut from 90000 to 83786, the mempool monitoring data during this plunge must have been wild. The arbitrage space for sandwich attacks is probably drained dry. But to be honest, the quick reaction to switch to empty is impressive—this showcases the competitive edge of on-chain data and the gas war track.

Here comes the same "timely stop loss to save your life" rhetoric again; my ears are getting calloused from hearing it. How many can actually execute it? I haven't seen any. Making money relies on cognition, losing money relies on emotions; there's nothing wrong with that. The problem is, when it comes to cognition, who the hell can clearly say whether they have it or not? From 90000 down to 83786, this initial show of strength is indeed fierce, starting the new year by playing people for suckers. "This wave is definitely different," people say every time, only to get slapped in the face each time. In the end, it's still the same old routine. Short positions are dominant? It still depends on how things go later; it's too early to draw conclusions now.

Wow, jumping from 90,000 to 83,786 is really harsh. However, compared to those who are stubbornly holding on, it's wise for us to timely switch to short positions to stop the bleeding; staying alive means we can wait for a turnaround.
