The most bizarre big dump in history: with favourable information piling up, why is the crypto market still falling?

robot
Abstract generation in progress

[Bi Tui] I saw a viewpoint early this morning, the CIO of a certain asset management company referred to the recent big dump as the “most bizarre selling wave in history.”

It is indeed quite strange. Just look at the traditional market – the Federal Reserve is cutting interest rates, QE is about to end, consumer data is strong, corporate earnings reports are impressive, and the AI hype is still burning money, with the stock market, bond market, and precious metals hitting new highs every month.

Looking at the crypto side, what are the so-called landmines that could trigger a big dump? MSTR hasn’t sold any coins, Tether doesn't have any holes in its accounts, DAT's positions are very stable, Nvidia hasn't faced a crisis, the Fed's stance hasn't turned hawkish, and the trade war hasn't restarted. Logically, it shouldn't fall, right?

But the market is just falling.

The explanation given by this CIO is quite straightforward: technology is indeed advancing, and the attitudes of Washington and Wall Street are warming up, but these do not change one reality - no one is buying in the market now.

Old leeks are already tired, and new funds have not come in yet. Although giants like Vanguard, State Street, BNY Mellon, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs have all said they will come, they haven't really started allocating today. The reason is simple: these institutions have their own approval processes and investment frameworks, and until this system is streamlined, the so-called “institutional bull” is just an expectation, with the money still lying in the accounts.

So this stage is a bit awkward - the good news is on the way, but the buying momentum hasn't arrived yet. The market is just that realistic.

Laughing to death, with so much favourable information still falling? It indicates one issue — no one dares to buy. --- Everyone says there are no risks, so why is it still falling like this? It feels like this wave is the true dumping. --- Old suckers are tired and new suckers haven't come... this is the current snapshot of the crypto market, truly absurd. --- Wait, interest rates are down and favourable information is out, the stock market is rising while we are falling? Is this reasonable? --- No one buys, so what's the point? No matter how much favourable information there is, it's all in vain; those whose mentality has collapsed can't come back. --- I just want to ask, how much longer will it fall before new money comes in? This is just a waste of time. --- What's so weird? It's simply a lack of confidence; even the best news can't stir up the market. --- MSTR hasn't sold coins, Tether is fine, all risks have been cleared, and yet it still falls... it's too absurd. --- It seems favourable information really doesn't work; the current crypto market is just lacking liquidity and popularity. --- Where is the new funding? I've been hearing that institutions are going to enter the market, but till now, they are still dreaming.

No one is buying, and that's just the reality. No matter how much favourable information is shared, it’s useless. --- A bunch of favourable information comes in, and it’s still falling. What does that mean? It means there’s no money left. --- I find it strange that these CIOs can’t understand. The market lacks buying power; everything else is just empty talk. --- The Fed is cutting interest rates, AI concepts are hot, and the earnings reports are impressive, but the market doesn’t care at all. Ultimately, there’s no new blood coming in. --- Here we go again with the same narrative... The old suckers are tired, and new funds haven’t arrived. This is said every time there’s a big dump. When will we see a rebound? --- The traditional market is breaking new highs while we’re falling. The disparity in the situation is really ridiculous. --- Wait, what’s the current situation? Should we buy the dip? --- No one is buying... So do I need to take action? This signal is a bit uncomfortable. --- What’s so strange about it? It’s just that no one dares to act; they’re all waiting.

It's all a trap. Favourable Information is Favourable Information, and market data is market data. Retail investors are the best at being attracted by these superficial news... If no one buys, then no one buys. To put it bluntly, it's still that they can't play people for suckers anymore. MSTR is not a savior; do you really think it will buy when it falls? It's the same old story. Let's see if there will be surprises in the new year; anyway, I'm not buying the dip. Money is enjoying itself in the stock market and precious metals; who would stay here to play along with you? No one is buying in the market? Then just wait; anyway, there's no rush for this moment. It feels like the encryption circle is increasingly like a game of pass the parcel; whoever gets hit at the end is the unlucky one. The big institutions have already taken enough; now they're just waiting for the retail investors to be at their most desperate to pick up the chips.

Several pros haven't made a move, this is indeed ridiculous... But to put it bluntly, no one dares to catch a falling knife. --- Again it's "no one is buying", I don't believe you for a second, surely somewhere is secretly accumulating. --- Favourable Information is piling up, yet it's falling even harder, this market is toxic. --- Every year I hear this about new funds not coming in, and the result? It's still the same, Be Played for Suckers. --- Wait a minute, so is it a good opportunity to buy the dip now or should I continue to get out of positions? I'm a bit confused. --- The Mining Rig is still running, I'm not afraid of the fall, anyway, someone is paying the electricity bill haha. --- It's like no matter how delicious the food is, someone has to eat it; a market without buyers is truly despairing. --- I bet five bucks, the moment new funds come in, the top dumb buyers will lose money again. --- Goodness, so much Favourable Information exploding instead becomes bad news; I really can't understand this logic. --- To put it bluntly, institutions are positioning themselves, and us retail investors can only watch.
