On Monday, the TronDAO team announced via X that its pre-release version of java-tron 4.8.1 has now been deployed on the Nile testnet.
This upgrade enhances performance, security, and EVM compatibility across the network—expanding ARM support, optimizing core services, and advancing on-chain governance.
The new version will also ensure that witness address is not generated when the local witness is null, fix the bug that private node fails to start without Blackhole configured in config.conf, and modify the behavior of SELFDESTRUCT in same transaction.
TRON is a public blockchain attempting to become the core infrastructure for a decentralized internet. TRON relies on a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) mechanism in which 27 Super Representatives rotate every 6 hours to validate blocks and transactions. TRX is down 0.13% today and is trading at $0.2768 at press time.
