Don't remind me again today

LIGHT started around 1.1 and has now risen above 1.5. To be honest, waking up after a good sleep and seeing such a rise is really pleasant.

However, this asset was originally intended to be shared publicly. As a result, someone entered the market at 1.1, and after it dropped to 1.08 (only a two-point drop), they rushed to ask me if it was going to crash. At that time, I seriously looked into it for them, and later realized it was just normal short-term volatility.

This made me realize a problem: many people say they want to hold long-term, but in reality, they can't withstand even a little bit of volatility. From 1.1 to 1.5, there will definitely be fluctuations in between. If you can't even handle a pullback to 1.08, how could you possibly hold on to it now?

So I didn't post this sign in the square at that time, and only gave it to a few truly patient people. Looking back now, this decision may have been the right one—otherwise the comment section would have been flooded with various doubts.

Ultimately, doing long-term trading requires several hard conditions:
First, you have to accept short-term fluctuations. Prices cannot rise in a straight line; a pullback of 5%-10% is common.
Second, you have to endure the pullback of unrealized gains. When it rises to 1.3, it may drop back to 1.15, can you stay steady?
Third, sometimes you have to admit your judgment was wrong and cut losses when necessary.

The long-term targets I shared before often ended up with only me still on board, while others had already left after making two or three points. That's also why I later shared more short-term strategies—at least everyone can hold on to them.

But the logic of short-term and long-term is completely different, and they should not be used interchangeably. If you want long-term gains, you need to have a long-term mindset.

I would like to ask everyone: If we encounter potential assets like LIGHT in the future, would you prefer that I share it in advance, or should I inform only a few people like this time? Those who can accept the conditions mentioned above, please leave a message.

From a technical perspective, this wave of Fluctuation does indeed conform to the standard market microstructure theory. A 2% pullback occurred within the rise of 1.1 to 1.5, and data shows that this falls within the normal Liquidity adjustment range for encryption assets. It is worth noting that there is a significant deviation between the psychological expectations of many participants and the actual market performance—this point has been discussed in the research of behavioral finance.

Haha, those who run at 1.08 really can't hold on, this mentality makes everything useless. To be honest, I prefer small-scale sharing, otherwise it really is just feeding the wolves. It's actually a mindset issue; most people are not prepared for the long term at all. This wave of LIGHT is indeed strong, but the key is still to withstand the turmoil in between. I understand not sharing, after all, the voices of doubt are too annoying; instead of struggling to explain, it's better to quietly make money.

Alright, this is the distinction between who can really play and who is just here to gamble. After taking a look around, it really hits the nail on the head; most people just can't handle the long term strategy. They get anxious at 1.08, how can they hold on afterwards? I've seen this too many times. I still suggest continuing to make money quietly; otherwise, you'll have to deal with all kinds of contrarians and stop loss traders every day. But speaking of which, sometimes I do want to see your selection logic, though I also understand your concerns. I think your decision is fine. This wave of LIGHT was indeed well done; let's see if there's another opportunity.

This is why I never follow the trend for long term; it's much more comfortable to do short-term. Someone who runs away at the first pullback is just wasting their breath; it's a mindset issue. I might as well only tell those who are patient, to avoid trouble later. This wave of LIGHT is indeed fierce, but I'm more concerned about where the next short-term opportunity lies. Long term gains are tempting, but most people can't wait for that day.
