What would change if privacy technology is added to blockchain?
There’s one thing that on-chain apps haven’t been able to solve properly until now: the issue of “data transparency.” Auction platforms? All bids are visible. DeFi services? My wallet balance is completely exposed. Blockchain games? Your opponent can see your hand of cards.
But if a privacy layer is added, the story changes completely. You can run auctions while hiding bid amounts, make financial transactions without revealing your balance, and play games while keeping your strategy secret. Even the same apps can have entirely new use cases.
In the end, privacy technology could become the next major expansion point for the on-chain ecosystem.

In the end, it all comes down to a battle between transparency and privacy... But honestly, if a real privacy layer is added, wouldn't it make scams even easier? That's actually scarier to me.

Doesn't this mean that transparency and privacy are fundamentally incompatible? Haha

With the addition of a privacy layer, on-chain can finally function properly... Until now, it's been way too exposed.
