[Crypto World] Another new member joins the USDT ecosystem—StableChain, a Layer 1 chain built specifically for stablecoins, has just officially launched its mainnet.
This chain has a few unique features: its native token is called STABLE, with a hard cap of 100 billion tokens, mainly used for governance voting and network staking (it runs on DPoS consensus). What’s even more interesting is that regular transaction fees aren’t paid in STABLE, but directly in USDT as gas—this design really fits the stablecoin chain positioning.
The project team has set up a foundation to manage operations and fund allocation. There’s also significant movement on the capital side: they raised $28 million in a seed round, and an earlier deposit campaign actually attracted over $2 billion.
It looks like they’re trying to carve out a new path in the stablecoin sector, and the idea of using USDT as the underlying fuel is pretty innovative. Whether the ecosystem can take off will depend on whether developers and users buy in.
