Original Title: Polygon Implements Madhugiri Hard Fork…Aiming for 33% Performance Improvement
Original Link:
Polygon has implemented its latest protocol upgrade, the ‘Madhugiri(Madhugiri) Hard Fork’.
This hard fork aims to increase network throughput by 33% and shorten block finality time from 2 seconds to 1 second.
Polygon core developer Krishan Shah explained that this update supports Fusaka Ethereum Improvement Proposals(EIP-7823, EIP-7825, EIP-7883) and is optimized to process complex mathematical operations more efficiently and securely.
He added that the addition of new transaction types optimizes Ethereum-Polygon bridge traffic and provides flexibility for future upgrades.
With this upgrade, Polygon plans to expand its use cases for high-frequency and high-reliability applications, tokenization of real-world assets(RWA), stablecoins, and more, broadening the possibilities for blockchain utilization.
