ChatGPT integrates with Adobe Creative Cloud, allowing direct photo editing and cutout in the chat window

【Chain Wen】ChatGPT can now directly invoke the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, and this move is quite impressive.

Specifically, you can use features of Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Acrobat directly within the chat window without switching between software, which is much more convenient. For example, you can adjust image brightness, add contrast, modify saturation, or try stylized effects—all within ChatGPT. Partial editing is also possible, such as blurring backgrounds or removing backgrounds.

However, there is a limitation— the popular generative fill feature in Photoshop is temporarily unavailable. To intelligently remove distracting elements from images, you still need to go back to the original software. But it’s already great to access these basic features for free.

Currently, these new functions are available on the web version and iOS. Android users can start with Express, and support for Photoshop and Acrobat will be coming soon. This integrated approach is quite interesting—AI chat tools are turning into a super gateway that connects the capabilities of various professional software.

Still dreaming about empty promises. With this feature available, why can't I use generative fill? I knew it—features I can actually use have already been mastered by the crypto tools I hold. This time, I have to reverse engineer again.

No more switching software? This is really a bit of a dead end. But it's quite awkward without the generate fill feature, which is my most frequently used function.

Crop images directly in the chat window? Now that's productivity! No more switching between windows back and forth.

According to the data, this wave of integration is likely to increase ChatGPT's daily active retention rate by approximately 15-20%. However, it is worth noting that the generative fill feature has been cut, indicating that Adobe still wants to protect the competitiveness of its high-end products. The analysis is divided into three dimensions: 1) enhancement of user stickiness 2) growth potential due to feature limitations 3) market fragmentation issues caused by delayed Android rollout. Based on current AI integration trends, I tend to believe that this is OpenAI's attempt at ecosystem locking, but the actual value for users is limited.

ngl if you look at the data, this is just adobe hedging their bets on the ai distribution game... technically speaking, they're gating the actual useful stuff (generative fill) behind their own ecosystem anyway, so it's not really that revolutionary? degens will use it for free but the yield-adjusted value prop is mid at best

No more need to open Photoshop for cutouts, who can stand that? It's so convenient.
