I think that @nvidia and @AMDRadeon focusing more on AI and less on Gaming is a blessing in disguise for the game community.
If one thing @RockstarGames R2D2 or the brand new @ARCRaidersGame proved is that you don't need a nuclear reactor to run a beautiful game if the dev team spent time on optimizing the game.
For many decades now, game studios rush to release half cooked, badly optimised "AAA" games and mainly relying on card makers to make up for their lazy and greedy business model pushing the extra costs on gamers, expecting them to buy the newest cards every 2 years, which is insane.
Now that chipmakers not improving in a pace they used to since they focusing on AI, game developers will be forced to spend more time optimising their game of they want to use the newest @UnrealEngine tech stack, otherwise they will face a massive backslash or abandon the industry.
