The People's Bank of China has announced a one-time credit repair policy to support individuals whose credit has been damaged during the pandemic but have been actively repaying their debts. From January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2025, records of overdue amounts not exceeding 10,000 yuan that are paid off by March 31, 2026, will be removed from the credit reporting system. The policy will be uniformly handled by the Credit Reference Center of the People's Bank, and individuals do not need to apply. It is expected to be implemented in batches starting in 2026.
