Ethereum December 23 Market Analysis and Trading Ideas

Ethereum quickly fell back 100 points after reaching a high, and the market entered a state of high tension. Both bulls and bears constantly probe, with the overall market under pressure, dropping to a low of around 2945.

Looking at the 4-hour chart, the price has been oscillating around 3000. On December 22, a noticeable long upper shadow appeared, indicating significant selling pressure at high levels. By the close on the 23rd, the price was lower than the opening - a typical bearish candlestick pattern, suggesting a possible short-term correction.

In the MACD indicator section, both the 4-hour period DIF and DEA are moving downward, and the histogram is in negative territory, indicating a clear dominance of bears. The daily MACD is also gradually weakening, with the trend leaning towards the bearish side. The RSI on the 4-hour chart shows 45.54, which has not yet entered the oversold zone, but is already in a neutral to weak position. The daily RSI has fallen below 50, indicating a significant decrease in momentum.

Looking at the moving average system again, the 4-hour EMA7 and EMA30 have begun to cross downwards, and the price has broken below the support level of EMA7, indicating significant short-term pressure. On the daily chart, EMA120 is still trending upwards, but EMA7 and EMA30 are weakening, signaling an overall bearish trend.

The trading volume is quite interesting - after a surge on December 22 accompanied by a large amount of selling, it reflects that market sentiment is somewhat unstable. By the 23rd, the trading volume actually decreased, with both bulls and bears on the sidelines, showing a strong cautious sentiment.

Operation suggestion (first short then long):

Step 1, enter a short position: short at around 2960-2980, with targets at 2920, 2880, and 2850.

Step 2, Long Position Relay: Wait for a pullback to around 2850-2870, then set up long positions, with targets of 2900, 2940, and 2980 in succession. Once it stabilizes above 3000, continue to hold the long positions.
