Recently, a new term has emerged: the "kill threshold."

When your household income drops below this line,
middle-class families will sharply decline,
becoming impoverished families.
Overwhelmed by mandatory expenses such as insurance, mortgage, property tax, utilities, and internet,
this is not due to a lack of effort; perhaps it’s due to unemployment.
Maybe an accident.
For example, a family,
the husband was a senior executive, but had a car accident.
The insurance payout is less than the actual salary earned,
the wife, needing to care for the family,
switches from full-time to part-time work, and her income decreases,
leading to days of financial strain.

There are also generations crushed by student loans,
or middle-aged people who get divorced and split assets,
and then need to pay child support.
Is this the cruel reality of Western society?
