While the entire market is chasing after hot coins, what are the truly knowledgeable players in the industry doing? They are looking for infrastructure projects that can take off together with ecosystem growth.

Recently, I chatted with several primary market investors, and everyone collectively complained about the same problem—it's too difficult to choose targets. Meme coins are too wild, with volatility that’s frightening; traditional public chains basically have no new stories to tell; new Layer1s have to wait for market validation. In the end, I shared an observation angle: the projects that can truly generate excess returns in this cycle are those that are tightly bound to high-growth ecosystems and are themselves extremely scarce in terms of core services.

How to understand this? Looking at Arweave from the last bull market makes it clear. Its significant rise was not driven by technological innovation but by the explosive growth of the Solana ecosystem, which increased storage demand. Data storage became a hard requirement for the ecosystem, and Arweave, as a solution, naturally benefited.

Now, the Sui ecosystem is also evolving rapidly. Blockchain games, AI applications, and social protocols are all exploding, and data storage is becoming a necessity. Against this backdrop, there is a project called Walrus, whose token caught my eye—this is not just a storage project, but more like a high-beta leverage tool during Sui’s rapid growth phase.

How to value it? Many people rely on intuition, but professional investing requires a coordinate system. I identified three reference dimensions to position this project:

The first dimension is ecosystem benchmarking. Arweave’s last cycle saw a rise of over 100 times from the bottom, mainly driven by the explosion of the Solana ecosystem increasing storage demand. Now, looking at Sui, with endless gaming, AI, and social applications, data demand continues to spill over. This logic can be fully replicated.

Really, infrastructure is the key, meme coins are just gambling. --- That wave of Arweave indeed confirmed this logic; when the ecosystem demand rises, projects just rise passively. --- I need to look more into Walrus; it feels a bit overhyped. --- Basically, it's about finding projects that are tightly bound to the ecosystem, with low risk and stable returns. --- The complaint about how hard it is to pick targets is very true; now you can easily harvest victims with anything. --- But the Sui ecosystem is really gaining momentum; there is still potential. --- Beta leverage tools sound good, but it's really just betting on whether the Sui ecosystem will explode. --- Why does it feel like we're repeating the story from the last round? The pattern is still the same.

The real money in the industry is in bottoming out infrastructure, and we're still eating leftovers. For those who missed the Arweave wave, now they're watching to see when Walrus can take off. The Sui ecosystem does seem a bit peculiar, but I don't know if it can explode like Solana. It feels like another "information gap harvest," whoever has the early info makes the most money. I've heard this "ecosystem just-needed" logic many times, but will this time still be just a story? I just want to know how Walrus's token supply looks—hopefully not another inflation monster.

That wave of Arweave was indeed fierce, but can the Sui ecosystem now replicate this logic? I'm a bit worried it might end up just being another meme coin running in the back.

That's right, infrastructure is the dark horse. I also believe in the Sui path. --- Arweave's recent surge was indeed unexpected. Is there still an opportunity now? --- The question is, who can guarantee that the next Sui will definitely be Sui? Betting on the ecosystem itself carries significant risks. --- Tying the rise to the ecosystem is a good logic, but how about Walrus's token supply? Could it be another rug pull? --- Instead of waiting for infrastructure, it's better to directly push blockchain games—that's the real demand. --- This theory sounds appealing, but actual implementation depends on the team and funding background. Don't be fooled by the story. --- Has the Sui ecosystem exploded? I don't see it. The social protocol part still seems pretty cold. --- Again comparing to Arweave. Every new ecosystem dares to use this comparison, indicating everyone lacks good benchmarks. --- Storage is indeed a necessity, but with so many competitors, why can Walrus break through? That's the core issue. --- First-tier investors complain that it's hard to choose targets; basically, there's no clear profit logic anymore.
