Deep Tide TechFlow News, January 24 — The Ethereum Foundation announced the establishment of a dedicated Post-Quantum (抗量子) team, led by Thomas Coratger and supported by leanVM cryptographer Emile, elevating quantum resistance to the highest strategic priority.

Researcher Justin Drake stated that Ethereum is transitioning from a long-term backend research phase to active engineering implementation, including launching bi-weekly anti-quantum transaction developer meetings and running multi-client anti-quantum consensus testnets.

The Ethereum Foundation is also increasing funding and community engagement, planning to launch two cryptography awards each worth $1 million, and hosting multiple community events and educational programs related to anti-quantum technology by 2026. The Ethereum Foundation emphasizes that although quantum threats remain a medium- to long-term risk, blockchain needs to proactively prepare to ensure wallet security and smooth network upgrades.
