In the era of AI explosion and its gradual emergence as "cognitive infrastructure," if a person does not achieve an exponential increase in their cognitive level, they will fall significantly behind the times. AI will divide humanity into two categories: the majority whose cognition stagnates, choosing to lie flat, ultimately leading most low- and mid-level knowledge workers to be replaced by AI and become the "useless class"; a small minority will leverage AI to exponentially enhance their learning efficiency, drive AI to improve productivity, or choose professions that are difficult for AI to replace. Similar to the birth of the internet: the level of understanding of the internet and the ability to operate capital will create a cognitive divide in human society, and cognition is wealth. Ultimately, cognitive ability becomes the foundation of social class. From oral transmission, to the development of books, to internet search engines, forums, and encyclopedias, and now to AI's super-natural language search, what has changed is the way information and cognition are transmitted, as well as the methods of civilization inheritance and progress. As the form of "knowledge" advances, the pace of human civilization progress will accelerate significantly. The ability to master AI will become a fundamental "culture" alongside literacy and reading, and education will lag behind the pace of societal development. Academic credentials will be further deconstructed into symbolic capital. In this era, the gap in cognitive wealth will far surpass the material wealth gap.
