South Korea to Implement U.S. Investment Legislation Promptly, Says Minister

South Korea's Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, Kim Jung-gwan, announced plans to swiftly implement investment legislation sought by the United States.

Kim made this statement to reporters at Incheon Airport on Saturday evening after returning from discussions in the U.S. He noted that the talks helped clarify misunderstandings surrounding tariff issues.
Kim emphasized that discussions with U.S. officials, including Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, deepened mutual understanding and demonstrated South Korea's commitment to fulfilling previously agreed tariff agreements. He assured that South Korea has no intention of delaying or refusing to implement these agreements.
During his visit, Kim held two meetings with Raimondo, where he explained South Korea's position to alleviate U.S. concerns about potential delays in introducing legislation to promote South Korean investment in the U.S.
