Mars Finance reports that on March 10, according to CNN, an Iranian intelligence source familiar with the Iranian leadership’s strategy revealed that Iran is planning to implement a “security tax” on oil tankers and merchant ships belonging to countries allied with the United States in the Persian Gulf. The source insisted that the Strait of Hormuz is “closed,” despite U.S. President Trump claiming it is open. The source stated, “We control the ‘trigger’ for global oil prices, and for a long time, the U.S. will have to wait for our actions to regulate oil prices. Energy prices have become unstable, and we will continue to fight until Trump admits defeat.” (Jin10)
