Tether hires KPMG to audit USDT

According to Mars Finance, Tether, the issuer of the stablecoin USDT, has chosen KPMG as its auditing firm and has hired PwC to assist in improving its internal systems. This move is the clearest signal from Tether towards a comprehensive financial statement audit, which will go beyond the monthly reserve attestations currently published by BDO Italia, conducting a thorough review of assets, liabilities, control measures, and reporting processes. Previously, Tether announced that it had engaged one of the Big Four accounting firms to conduct an audit of its operations, but did not disclose the name of the specific firm at that time.
