Turkey removes crypto tax provisions, originally planned to impose a 0.3% transaction tax

Mars Finance reports that, according to market sources, during its review of a comprehensive bill, the Turkish parliament removed tax provisions related to crypto assets. Previously, the provision was intended to levy a 0.3% transaction tax on crypto transactions conducted through service providers, and to withhold tax on crypto gains. The change stems from strong opposition by the opposition party. Officials said the relevant content may be resubmitted in the future in the form of separate legislation.
