I was researching apps for mining cryptocurrencies on your phone and found out there are way more options than I thought. Basically, there are apps that use your phone's processor to generate hashrate and increase your chances of mining blocks, and there are also cloud mining services that work differently.
The most popular ones I saw people using are: CryptoTab, one of the oldest, where you just install and start mining Bitcoin automatically. It also has a referral program to invite friends and earn more. Then there's an app from a major exchange platform that offers cloud mining—you buy hash rate and receive rewards directly in your wallet. StormGain is another well-known app for mining cryptocurrencies on your phone; it's good for completing small tasks and has a nice interface, but you need to restart it every 4 hours, which is a bit annoying. NiceHash lets you manage mining platforms and has a profit calculator; many people use it because it's secure. There's also Bitdeer, which provides access to more professional equipment and supports multiple cryptocurrencies.
But honestly, mobile mining has its pros and cons. Some people think it's not worth it because of the competition, the need to dedicate around 8 hours a day, the risk of scams, and such. But others see it as a simple and accessible way to make some money, especially with future hardware improvements and new cryptocurrencies.
If you want to get started, it's pretty simple: choose a cryptocurrency mining app for your phone, install it, create an account, set which coin you want to mine, enter your wallet address, and that's it. On iPhone, it's more complicated because of Apple's restrictions, but you can still use cloud services.
The easiest coins to mine on a smartphone, according to the community, are Monero, Dogecoin, Vertcoin, and Ravencoin. But keep in mind that mining still takes a long time—mining a Bitcoin with a smartphone takes a considerable amount of time, so many people prefer cloud services.
My advice is not to make hasty decisions; do thorough research before starting, check the terms of use for each service because they can change. And good luck!
