I recently watched a very interesting interview with Mario Nawfal and Sun Ge, the founder of TRON, and there are some points worth commenting on here.
First, the most outrageous thing: the guy plans to become the first crypto founder to go to space. Along with video games, it seems to be one of the hobbies he's pursuing now. It's the kind of thing you only see in crypto.
But putting the crazy part aside, what caught my attention was his vision for TRON. It’s not just about blockchain; he’s thinking about art, gaming, decentralized stablecoins. He even mentioned the idea of opening an art gallery in Hong Kong. The project is growing rapidly, and the goal is to basically become a decentralized version of SWIFT.
The numbers Mario Nawfal mentioned in the interview were quite relevant: TRON is generating between $2 billion and $2.5 billion annually, with monthly growth reaching 30%. The strategy is very ambitious, covering stablecoins, DeFi, NFTs, and even government bonds. It recently doubled, and according to Sun Ge, this comes from a solid stablecoin settlement base.
An interesting point Mario Nawfal raised was about TRON’s future without Sun Ge. He was very clear: the project is already moving toward true decentralization. If he steps back, TRON will continue operating on its own. He even wants governments and central banks to join the network.
Regarding AI, Sun Ge talked about its potential in issuance, trading, and asset management. There could be AI-led projects in the future, but he was honest: the opportunities are huge, but the risks are still high right now.
One aspect that cannot be ignored: he predicts radical changes in venture capital. DAOs and AI will transform how funding works. Traditional VC might be a thing of the past.
Now, the part that makes any trader think: Sun Ge warned that this bull market could end abruptly. There could be a logical vulnerability in some AI project or a protocol collapse. He compared it to the DAO hack years ago, which caused tremors across the entire market.
Regarding Bitcoin, he predicts 2025 as a super bull market, with BTC potentially surpassing $100,000 or even $200,000. Major banks might officially accept crypto. But the caveat is important: if there are gaps in the AI capital pool or large-scale hacks, that could be the trigger for the end of this bullish cycle.
It’s an interview that mixes optimism with realism, and Mario Nawfal did a good job bringing these points to light. Worth keeping an eye on how these predictions unfold.
