Oh man, have you ever stopped to think about who the real top traders in the world are? I was reading about some legendary traders’ stories, and it’s just... incredibly impressive.
There’s this Japanese guy, Takashi Kotegawa, who started with $13,000 and turned it into $153 million in 8 years. Not bad, right? The guy traded from his bedroom, with nothing special, just pure strategy and discipline.
Then there’s George Soros, the one who broke the British bank? Yeah, he made $1 billion in a single day trade. One day. More than most people earn in their entire lives.
Jim Simons is on a different level, seriously. They call him the smartest billionaire trader in the world, and for good reason. From 1994 to 2014, his fund maintained an annual return of 71.8%. Practically impossible to replicate.
And there’s Jesse Livermore, the great bear of Wall Street. At 24, he turned $10,000 into $500 million. Then, at 30, during the 1907 crisis, he made $1 million in a single day.
Steve Cohen is also a legend, especially in the 80s. The guy was making $10 million a year as a hedge fund manager, and he also capitalized on opportunities no one else saw.
Seriously, when you see these stories of the world’s best traders, it’s clear it’s not luck. It’s study, patience, and a completely different mindset. Which of these traders do you find most impressive?
