North Korean IT specialists have been infiltrating crypto companies and DeFi projects for about 7 years — according to researchers, at least 40 platforms have been targeted through their efforts.

This is part of a broader activity linked to the Lazarus Group, which is associated with stealing around $7 billion in crypto.

These employees may appear as ordinary developers, but they are used to access infrastructure and carry out subsequent attacks, including recent major hacks.
