Suddenly, I think maybe if my husband gets beaten up, everything will be simpler🤣

At work, for awards and honors, last year's top performer in work metrics was a veteran colleague who has a dark history and was "locked in a small black room" by the senior leaders, making him ineligible for the award. But the veteran colleague is very dissatisfied.
My husband, as a middle manager, can't directly oppose the senior leaders' wishes, and he also can't prevent the veteran colleague from causing trouble (plus he’s retiring in a year and worries he might ignore the situation). Moreover, the veteran colleague was just evaluated by my husband recently, they argued, and now he's holding a grudge, claiming it was intentional, which has driven him to the point of pulling out several handfuls of hair in frustration.
We were sitting by the roadside thinking for a long time. I said: Only if he gets beaten up, we call the police, and then I’ll also go to your workplace with our son to cause a fuss—wouldn't that make things simple?
My husband said: You just want me to get beaten up, right...
