I know an older guy—someone who truly crawled out of the crypto world’s “mountains of corpses and seas of blood.”
With 20,000 yuan in capital, across several bull and bear cycles, he rolled it to over 20 million.
He didn’t teach me any indicators or trading tactics—he just dropped one sentence for me:
“This market—99% of people are slaves to their emotions. If you can control your emotions, the market becomes your cash machine.”
After I heard that, I didn’t sleep all night.
Later, he talked about 4 of the dumbest yet most ruthless ways:
First, don’t make small money, and don’t lose big money.
Many people make a little profit and run, only to find the move is just starting; and once they lose, they stubbornly hold on, and in the end they get wiped out directly.
The real play is small-position trial and error—when the direction is right, let the profits fly; if it’s wrong, it won’t hurt you.
Second, only touch the mainstream that has been thoroughly beaten down—don’t chase hot trends.
Those coins that hype concepts and tell stories—when they’re hot, everyone thinks they’re a genius.
But he only does one thing: find mainstream coins that have been dipped enough and are starting to climb slowly, enter with a 10% position first, and don’t guess the bottom.
Third, once the trend is there, add on the pullbacks.
Don’t buy at the lowest point, and don’t chase the highest point.
As long as the trend has formed, every normal pullback is an add-on point that’s basically “sending you money.”
Fourth, after each upswing, first take the money out.
Take out the principal plus half of the profit, and leave the rest as “zero-cost chips.”
That’s how you can hold onto the rest of the market—rather than worrying about drawdowns every day.
He said it very plainly:
No matter how much you make, if you don’t take profits out, it’s all fake.
Many people come into the crypto market wanting to get rich overnight,
but in the end, they can’t even manage to “stay alive.”
I’m not talking about any magical moves now—I just trade with real execution.
