BREAKING: Making Bitcoin secure against quantum computing is now possible without a soft fork, but it costs $200 per transaction, according to a new study.

A new scheme developed by a StarkWare researcher operates under existing consensus rules, offering an emergency solution while awaiting the activation of BIP-360.
The method works within the existing consensus rules but requires massive off chain computing using GPUs, raising estimated costs to between $75 and $200 per transaction and making it far more complex than standard payments.
