Determining whether BTC has "effectively stabilized" above 73k depends on filtering out false breakouts. You can't just look at a momentary breach on the chart; you must verify with three dimensions: "time, space, and volume."

Hard standards for effective stabilization

Space filtering (preventing false spikes)

Closing price principle: The 4-hour or daily candlestick must close above 73k. An intraday "upper shadow" piercing through does not count as stabilization.

Amplitude buffer: Strict standards require the closing price to be about 1–2% above 73k (i.e., 73,700+), to filter out market noise.

Time confirmation (preventing false signals)

Consecutive candles: 2–3 consecutive 4-hour candles (or 2 daily candles) must stay above 73k, and the pullback must not break below.

Pullback test: After a breakout, the first pullback to 73k should be quick to stop falling and rebound, confirming that this level has shifted from resistance to support.

Volume coordination (observing momentum)

The volume during the breakout candle should be significantly higher (usually 1.5 times or more than previous), indicating genuine buying pressure rather than just a "fake push."

Practical trading SOP

Avoid FOMO: When the price suddenly surges past 73,000, do not chase; wait for the next 4-hour candle to close.

Confirmation signal: If the price oscillates between 73,000 and 73,500 for over 8 hours without breaking below, it is considered a preliminary stabilization.

Ultimate validation: Wait for a pullback to 73,000 that does not break below; this is the safest right-side long entry signal.

Typical features of false breakouts

If the following occur, it’s likely a "false breakout" and warrants caution for a quick reversal:

Volume-price divergence: Price hits a new high but volume shrinks.

Rapid reversal: After breaking out, the price quickly falls back below 73,000, with a long upper shadow on the 1-hour chart.

Altcoins not following: BTC surges, but mainstream altcoins (ETH, SOL) stagnate or decline.

At the critical threshold of 73,000, patience in waiting for closing confirmation is more important than rushing in. It’s better to miss out on a $500 profit than to catch the last move.
