CryptoWorld News reports that on April 11, the heads of multiple United Nations agencies called for an end to the widespread phenomenon of impunity for violations of international law in the Middle East. Leaders of various countries stated in a joint declaration that they are "shocked by the ongoing violations of the rules of war and international humanitarian law in the region." The declaration pointed out, "Even in war, there are rules, and these rules must be respected." It also noted, "Just last month, thousands of civilians were killed or injured in the Middle East. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, many of whom were forced to migrate multiple times." "We call on all parties—whether UN member states or armed groups—to respect their legal obligations to protect civilians (including humanitarian personnel) and civilian infrastructure. All violations must be held accountable."
