As I expected,

there’s a new subnetwork that’s come out to take over the role of SN3.
Most people don’t really have a concept of scale tiers like 72B, 7B, and 27B.
Let me explain it in plain terms:
72B became famous as a number because of Alibaba’s Qwen-72B. It was officially open-sourced in December 23. There was also quite a stir around it, because before that, the mainstream specs in the open-source community were 7B and 13B.
Claude Opus / GPT-5 / Gemini Pro are giants in the commercial world—their parameter counts are typically in the hundreds of billions to trillions range.
In short, 72B is like a top-spec private car, while the GPT-5 level is like a high-speed train.
By 2026, 72B is already mature infrastructure that’s commonplace. It’s highly replaceable, and it’s not hard to do.
