Trump Considers Continuing Military Strikes on Iran, Oil Rises Again to $105

Donald Trump is reported to be considering the continuation of military strikes against Iran alongside the ongoing blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. According to a Wall Street Journal report, this escalation threat has triggered a renewed surge in global oil prices, surpassing $105 per barrel. Trump is also pressuring allies to take responsibility for military escort in the energy corridor.
Trump specifically threatened to destroy Iran's vital infrastructure, including power plants and desalination facilities. "I hate to do it, but their facilities are very easy to hit," Trump stated firmly. Despite issuing threats of physical attack, the White House said the President remains open to diplomatic solutions if Iran is willing to submit to Washington's demands.
However, hopes for peace are waning after the "Islamabad MoU" negotiations this weekend reached a dead end. Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, accused the U.S. of unilaterally changing agreement points as negotiations neared completion. The failure of diplomacy and threats of military action have caused the global energy markets to be in a state of high uncertainty.
