On April 14th, according to the American magazine *The Atlantic*, military officials stated that an official blockade of the Strait of Hormuz would first deploy air power. The blockade aims to prevent Iranian ships and any other ships departing from Iranian ports from passing through the strait into the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. At that time, at least two aircraft carrier groups or land-based air forces will be assigned to provide cover for the maritime forces responsible for monitoring the waterway. The P-8 Poseidon patrol aircraft will be responsible for monitoring the waters and targeting maritime threats, while the E-2 Hawkeye early warning aircraft will fly above the fleet to detect threats and other aircraft. Additionally, the United States will also deploy a large number of drone swarms in the strait region.
