FULL CHRONOLOGY OF THE CRISIS IN THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ 👀
Marathon negotiations between the US and Iran in Pakistan lasted for more than 21 hours. The parties could not agree on the key issue—Tehran’s nuclear program. The US delegation (including Vice President Vance) left without a deal.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said directly:
“Iran and the United States have not signed an agreement in Islamabad due to Washington’s fault.”
The US President wrote on Truth Social: “Effective immediately, the United States Navy… will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz.”
The blockade will officially begin today at 10:00 AM Eastern Time US (17:00 MSK).
The Central Command of the US Armed Forces confirmed: “On April 13 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, a naval blockade of all vessels entering Iranian ports or leaving them will begin.”
The US Navy will intercept in international waters all ships that paid Iran a “toll” for passage (even in crypto).
The US will begin destroying Iranian mines.
“Any Iranian who fires at us, or at peaceful vessels, will be BLOWN TO HELL!”
“Iran will return to the negotiating table and give us EVERYTHING we want.”
“Ultimately, gas and oil prices will fall. It may not happen right away, but as soon as the situation is resolved—prices will drop.”
“If you want to see the collapse of the stock market, allow us to use a couple of nuclear bombs—whether against us or anywhere else.”
“Iran will never get nuclear weapons.”
An enormous US fleet is already heading to the region. The US has more oil than Saudi Arabia and Russia combined.
An advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran, Mohsen Rezaei, said: “America, as in the case of the historical failure in its attempt to open the Strait of Hormuz against Iran, is doomed to lose—and in a naval blockade as well.”
Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf posted a photo of gas station prices near the White House and wrote:
“Enjoy the current gas station prices. With the so-called ‘blockade,’ you’ll soon be reminiscing about $4–5 gasoline with nostalgia.”
Trump stated that other countries will join the operation. Britain, France, and a number of allies are sending mine countermeasure vessels to clear mines (although they officially keep their distance from a full blockade). NATO expressed readiness to help with the strait issue. Australia said it will not participate.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu: “The campaign against Iran is not over—we still have a lot to do.”
Netanyahu’s other statements:
There is still enriched material in Iran—it needs to be taken out, by diplomacy or by force.
“If a year ago you had told me that the US would be fighting us shoulder to shoulder for almost 40 days… who would have believed it? But it happened because we started acting.”
Lebanon has repeatedly offered Israel peaceful negotiations.
Israel demands the complete disarmament of “Hezbollah” and a real peace agreement.
The situation is on the brink. About ~20% of the world’s oil passes through Hormuz. Brent has already exceeded $100–103 per barrel. Goldman Sachs warns: below $100 in 2026, oil will not drop.
What a wonderful master of ceremonies! And what competitions!....
