Gold demand is not where most people look.



Around 70% comes from emerging markets. China holds about 27% and India about 21%, nearly half of total demand.

Supply is slow, about 74% mining and 26% recycling, so price mostly follows demand pressure.

In my view, gold moves more on emerging market stress than inflation.
