The airdrop season is heating up again. Once task platforms start running anti-witch campaigns and roll out a points system, everyone farms rewards like they’re clocking in at work. I’ve started deliberately “slowing down” a bit myself now: the faster the hot topics rotate, the easier it is to get swept up by emotions into taking action—until, in the end, you’re either the one being harvested, or you’ve sold your time to someone else’s narrative.

To put it simply, don’t rush to chase the next wave. First, ask one question: what does this project fear most that I look at? Are there backdoors left in the permissions? Can it be upgraded however you like? Are there blacklists or freeze switches? Is the key contract a proxy wrapped inside a proxy, like a nesting doll? It’s okay if you don’t understand everything—at least go through a few items that can be verified. If you can’t confirm them, just treat it as if you didn’t see it. After all, I’d rather miss out than send myself in through that “busy” feeling.
