Bridgepoint expands its bet on identity security with majority stake purchase in iC Consult from Carlyle
📌 Bridgepoint has agreed to acquire a majority stake in iC Consult from Carlyle, valuing the company at around EUR 400–450 million. The deal is expected to close in Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
🔎 iC Consult is a German Identity & Access Management specialist with more than 850 employees across North America, Europe, and Asia. The company has grown strongly from 2020 to 2025, supported by rising demand for identity security, access governance, and enterprise cybersecurity services.
💡 For Bridgepoint, the acquisition deepens its exposure to cybersecurity after previous investments in Infinigate and DataExpert. The next focus may be international expansion, AI integration in IAM, and selective M&A.
⚠️ The key point to watch is Carlyle’s full exit after about five years, while Bridgepoint will need to sustain high growth to support the valuation. Still, the deal further confirms the consolidation trend in Europe’s mid-market cybersecurity sector.
