Georgia's Central Bank Will Begin Tracking Crypto Firms in September
Georgia is preparing to monitor crypto firms to prevent money laundering and comply with sanctions. The National Bank of Georgia is launching mandatory supervision of virtual asset service providers starting Sept. 1, 2023, and is also enforcing restrictions for foreign bank account holders.
These measures are designed to support economic stability and coordinate local laws with major European Union directives.
