Europe's MiCA Crypto Regulation is Similar to French Regime: Ethereum France President
The recently adopted Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulatory framework has been largely inspired by the French regulatory regime, according to Jerome de Tyche, President of Ethereum France. MiCA has been welcomed by both industry stakeholders and regulators, and could even serve as a model for the U.S. approach.
In France, obtaining a DASP license is mandatory for companies engaged in digital asset activities, and some major exchanges have already done so. However, it is still too early to draw conclusions on how French and European crypto regulation will help drive innovation.
