Dash (DASH), one of the privacy-focused altcoin projects, became the first altcoin to complete halving in the new year. During the day, the 1,892,161 block halving took place and the DASH block reward decreased to 2.30.

Dash, one of the Proof of Work-based altcoin projects, started its operations in 2014 with a fork made in the Bitcoin source code by Evan Duffield. The privacy-based altcoin is currently among the 100 most valuable crypto projects.
Litecoin (LTC) will be the first cryptocurrency to halve after Dash. The halving on the Litecoin network is expected to take place on August 2. After Litecoin, on April 7, 2024, the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) halving will be completed. Finally, approximately 308 days from today, on April 27, 2024, the reward halving will take place on the Bitcoin network.
After this halving, the block reward on the Bitcoin network will decrease from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC.
